Drug Crime: Sale of Illegal or
Prescription Drugs
Stuart Drug Sale
Defense Attorney & Lawyer, serving Stuart, Florida, Martin County,
and St. Lucie County by providing aggressive and experienced sale
of illegal and prescription drug defense and other
criminal defense legal representation.
An
individual may
be charged with selling drugs if they are visibly or audibly
observed selling an illegal or prescription drug. In the
absence of visual or audible observation of the an alleged sale of
illegal or prescription drugs, if searched for perceived probable cause, the criminal
offenses which may be charged if drugs are found in your person are those relating to possession,
or intent to distribute or sell. If the accused did not have any drugs on them during
the search, and there is no visual or audible evidence of an alleged drug
transaction, there is no crime.
Of course there are exceptions. If the individual who was sold the
drugs is confronted and arrested by law enforcement, and identifies
you as the one who sold them the drugs, probable cause may exist to
search your car or home, or make efforts to observe your movements
and actions to catch you in the act.
Common sale of illegal or prescription drug charges in
Stuart, and
Martin County, and St Lucie County Florida include, but are not limited to cocaine,
heroin, marijuana, ecstasy, and methamphetamines, and even illegally
obtained prescription drugs. Drug possession charges may even
apply to having in your possession with the intent to use
over-the-counter chemicals commonly used to manufacture illegal
drugs.
Law enforcement and the
prosecutors take the sale of
illegal or prescription drug charges very seriously,
and alleged offenders can expect to face aggressive
prosecution in drug crime cases. Charges may be either a misdemeanor or felony crime,
depending upon the amount, type, and any evidence
gathered against you regarding your perceived intent of
the drugs in question.
In any criminal matter
it is extremely important to seek experienced, honest and aggressive legal
representation as soon as possible. To ensure your legal rights and
freedoms are protected, all available legal
resources must be utilized to give you the best opportunity to
achieve a successful outcome in your specific legal situation.
